So you’ve been around Redeemer for a while… attended the weekend services, hung out in the café, dropped your kids off at Uptown. So what’s next? How can you get more involved, learn more about what the Bible teaches and live it out? We call it next steps. It’s a pathway that’s designed to help you on your spiritual journey. The Bible teaches us that being a part of a local church is essential to your spiritual journey, not just attending on the weekend, but plugging into relationships and developing spiritual disciplines. next steps is designed to help you with both. They’re relational environments where you can learn about Christianity, the local church, what the Bible teaches and how it relates to your everyday life, marriage, finances, and parenting. You also discover how God has wired you for a specific purpose, get plugged in and even develop leadership skills.
StartWe all have questions. Whether it’s the meaning of life, God or why bad things happen to good people? Wouldn’t it be great to have a place where you could have a non threatening conversation about the stuff of life? START is just that, a conversational environment, using the Alpha Course, where people can explore faith and experience community. It’s a safe place for people with questions about faith, as well as those who want to learn about the Bible and Christianity. Groups meet for 10 weeks. One of the goals of START is to help participants find their places in the story of life that God initiated.
PartnerPARTNER is designed to help you become familiar with the atmosphere of Redeemer so that you can become an active and committed part of the mission and framework. PARTNER will not only provide you with the opportunity to participate in Redeemer’s Membership Class, where you will learn the vision, values, and culture of Redeemer; but will also enable you to focus on how you might better serve your surrounding community.
ServeJesus taught us that He came not to be served but to serve. As we look through the Bible we learn that God has created every one of us with gifts, talents, passions and temperaments that allow us to best serve in different areas. What if you were to discover how God had wired you and then were able to plug yourself into the purpose He created you for? That’s what the SERVE track is all about, helping you discover how you are wired and the purpose God created you for.
GrowJesus’ desire for His disciples has always been that they would grow in their relationship with Him and develop fruit in their lives, the kind of fruit that would be pleasing to Him, impact them, their families and the world around them. GROW is designed to help you develop that kind of fruit – whether its Bible classes, finances, marriage, or parenting, each class is designed to help you become who God has called you to be. LeadStrong, healthy leadership is vital to the future of every small group, every ministry and the church as a whole. This track helps you understand your leadership calling more clearly. LEAD is the prerequisite for future new leadership and training and is strongly recommended for everyone currently involved in leadership at Redeemer.
