Champions Club

Jesus taught us throughout His time here on earth that we should be concerned about those who are ignored and overlooked. In fact, in His inaugural address in Luke 4:14-21, He declares the purpose, the objective and the tone of His ministry. His Kingdom had come near and would now bring good news to the poor, release to the captives, the blind would see and the oppressed would be free, because the time of God’s favor has come. What Jesus initiated, we now continue as citizens of His Kingdom.

On December 11, at our Albany Campus, Pastor Mike shared a vision to serve families and kids who are experiencing special needs. Not just a vision to create environments to serve kids with special needs (calming, communication and soft play rooms), but a church that would be committed to serving the entire family. Praying, loving, serving and supporting by every means possible.

Many people have already stepped up to serve – volunteering to finish rooms, pray, be a part of the Champions Club team and provide professional resources to help us launch Champions Club.

In order to finish off the environments and get Champions Club launched it’s going to cost $30,000. As we’ve prayed and sought God, we firmly believe Champions Club is God’s plan and that He will provide the resources needed to see it launched. He’s the One that provides seed for the sower and gives us the opportunity to partner with His plan. Together our faith is placed squarely in Him.

Over the next couple of weeks we’re asking you to pray about investing into God’s plans for the Albany Campus. Imagine what will happen as we come alongside these families? Imagine the support and encouragement we can provide in the midst of the stress and hopelessness these families may be experiencing? Imagine these kids experiencing a loving, hope-filled environment where they can encounter God’s love and presence? It’s entirely possible as we partner with that which God has birthed in the heart of our church. So we’re asking you to make your faith pledge and then begin donating toward Champions Club. Our goal is to have the funds raised by February 28, 2012, so work can begin.

To donate, click on the button above to log in to you online giving account (if you don’t have an account it’s simple set up process). Once logged in click on Pledge Drive and select ALB-Champions Club.

Thanks for partnering together to accomplish what God has set before us.
